Timed 3-phase Air Pump
This is a custom-made control for an Air Pump, the air pump itself is a 1.5kW 3-phase motor that operates alongside a 24VAC Air Valve and a 24VAC Rotary Motor. Hollin Applications have produced a wide range of bespoke controls over the years within a variety of metal and plastic enclosures; this control is built into a 400x300x240mm plastic enclosure, repurposed from a previous control system used by the customer.

This control uses 2 different time controls. The one in the bottom left is a simple, intuitive, 24h timeclock; this allows each 30min segment of the day to be either set as ON or OFF (this is easily set and changed). For this application the timeclock is set to run the Air Pump for one hour intervals, several times during the day. The second time control is a Logic Module (bottom right), this is a more complex control can change up to 4 outputs in an adjustable programmed sequence based both upon the time and several different inputs (limit switches etc). In this case it allows the Rotary Motor to change the direction of the Air Pump flow every 4 minutes while the Air Pump is running (the Air Valve also opens to allow the Rotary Motor to move).
